Job summary
ERDAS is looking for motivated individuals to work with closely with developers on all aspects of practical software development, including green-field development, maintenance, automated testing, and software deployment. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work with a development team on a range of technologies, improving and maintaining software with a large world-wide user-base. You will experience fast-paced software development in a product-focused, customer oriented Agile environment Summary of essential job functions:
- Work with team leads and engineers to ensure product development occurs on-scope and on-time
- Take proactive, ownership-oriented approach to assigned tasks
- Maintain robust development standards, including code test coverage
- Identify collaborate with development team to address defects
Qualifications and Experience:
- Basic programming experience (Java/C/C++) required
- Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical thinking skills required
- Domain knowledge and experience in remote sensing, image processing and/or GIS. Knowledge of advanced imaging technologies (Radar, SAR, hyperspectral) a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and experience in photogrammetry a plus
- Experience using scripting tools (Python, Perl) a plus
