ERDAS Announces a Free Webinar — Modeling Massive Volumes of Data (ERDAS APOLLO 2009)

October 02, 2008

Norcross, GA – ERDAS announces Modeling Massive Volumes of Data, a free webinar on Thursday, October 9, 2008, highlighting ERDAS APOLLO 2009. This webinar addresses the problems associated with having large volumes of different types of data, a geographically distributed user base and rapidly changing data holdings. Venturing into new frontiers, ERDAS APOLLO eliminates the walls between GIS, remote sensing and photogrammetry, extending geospatial data to business applications throughout an organization, regardless of the source. ERDAS APOLLO 2009 is a suite of products that includes ERDAS APOLLO Server, ERDAS APOLLO Image Manager and ERDAS APOLLO Solution Toolkit.

In this webinar, ERDAS APOLLO Image Manager will be utilized to develop a complex data model of massive volumes of gridded data. This data will then be delivered through a single, interoperable web service URL. This unique and powerful solution meets the dissemination and exploitation needs of all end users, catering to a wide variety of geospatial skill sets and access privileges. This webinar also highlights ERDAS APOLLO’s security features, illustrating its ability to comprehensively address problems universal to governments, businesses and other organizations working with large amounts of geospatial data.

Each month, ERDAS is offering at least two different webinar topics. To meet the needs of ERDAS’ global audience, most webinars will be hosted twice on a scheduled day. In addition to a live presentation and demonstration, each webinar also includes the opportunity for customers to interact directly with the presenter. Scheduled to last forty-five minutes, each webinar will include approximately thirty minutes of presented material and fifteen minutes for Q&A.

Below is a schedule outlining the next three ERDAS webinar topics and the solutions featured:

· October 9 – Modeling Massive Volumes of Data (ERDAS APOLLO Image Manager 2009)

· October 23 – Bigger, Stronger, Faster! (ERDAS Image Web Server 2009)

· November 6 – Securely Clip, Zip and Ship Massive Volumes of Data (ERDAS APOLLO Image Manager 2009)
