Intergraph and Directions Magazine Host Webinar on Power of GIS and Remote Sensing in One Solution

February 16, 2012

Webinar to Showcase Combined Intergraph GeoMedia® and ERDAS IMAGINE® Solution Now Available Through Live Link

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., February 16, 2012 – Intergraph® and Directions Magazine announced today a joint webinar presentation entitled, “The Power of GIS and Remote Sensing …Together in a Single Solution.” Taking place on February 23, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. (GMT -5), the complimentary webinar is ideal for geospatial data analysts who incorporate remotely sensed imagery into their workflows.

Having separate GIS, photogrammetry and remote sensing workflows only partially addresses the need for creating, maintaining, sharing and using geospatial data. Intergraph has paired GeoMedia and ERDAS IMAGINE to deliver a comprehensive suite of GIS analysis and data management capabilities, coupled with image processing. The combination delivers what geospatial professionals have wanted for a long time – seamless integration of vector and raster data. This stronger, more streamlined geospatial workflow combines the strengths of GeoMedia’s extensive querying capabilities with ERDAS IMAGINE’S library of image manipulation features to help the analyst achieve true spatial insights.

During this webinar, Intergraph will demonstrate the benefits of this cohesive image processing and GIS product pairing, specifically focusing on workflows that can process large volumes of imagery, precision terrain data and vector-based geospatial information to update GIS and CAD resources.

Speakers from Intergraph include Mladen Stojic, Vice President – Geospatial; Vince Smith, GIS Product Line Executive and Steve du Plessis, Remote Sensing Product Line Executive. Immediately following the webinar, the Intergraph team will be available to answer questions.
