Norcross, Georgia (USA) — ERDAS announces that Terralink International Limited has selected ERDAS APOLLO to manage and deliver its massive amounts of vector and raster data.

Based in Wellington, Terralink has the most comprehensive and accurate physical land database of New Zealand. Within this database resides a compliment of topographic, legal and physical property, address data, and New Zealand’s largest store of high-resolution aerial imagery, which is used to offer and produce value added products and GIS services for its customers.

With such an extensive and growing volume of imagery, maps and terrain data, Terralink recognized their need to create a self-updating catalog of all available data. This catalog would provide internal customers with facilities to quickly find any required information and facilitate its consumption by a diverse range of spatial and business systems. In addition, this catalog needed to offer the flexibility to be extended in the future to provide similar capabilities to external customers in a secure environment.

After evaluating several technologies, Terralink selected ERDAS APOLLO Image Manager to catalog and deliver its terabytes of imagery.
