The IMAGINE MrSID Desktop Encoder and IMAGINE MrSID Workstation Encoder are technology licensed from LizardTech for use within ERDAS IMAGINE. A basic MrSID read (decode) capability exists everywhere within the ERDAS IMAGINE suite. Like ERDAS’ ECW data format, MrSID is a wavelet-based image format designed to compress massive images. It enables instantaneous viewing and manipulation of imagery both locally and over networks while sacrificing little image quality.

Create as Many MrSID Images as You Want
There is no limit to the number of MrSID images you can create in ERDAS IMAGINE. There are no extra cartages to buy. If ERDAS IMAGINE supports the image format, a MrSID version of that image can be created (and these images can be created in large numbers) when using IMAGINE’s Batch Wizard.

Powerful MrSID Batch Creation Tool
If 50MB is not enough, upgrade to the IMAGINE MrSID Desktop Encoder for input images up to 500 million pixels, or IMAGINE MrSID Workstation Encoder for unlimited file sizes. Using IMAGINE Advantage, parallel create up to four MrSID compressions simultaneously using IMAGINE’s Batch Wizard. Add four more simultaneous compressions with each floating IMAGINE Advantage license.

Authoritative MrSID Mosaic Tool
When using the IMAGINE MrSID Encoders with IMAGINE Advantage, MosaicPro can be used to make seamless MrSID mosaics. MosaicPro provides sophisticated seamline creation and editing, histogram matching, illumination equalization, dodging and feathering options, versions of seamless mosaics, or mosaics clipped into image tiles. MosaicPro also allows image tiles to be cut from the mosaic to provide seamless image tiles.
