                  LPS

                  eATE

LPS eATE is a new LPS module for generating high resolution terrain information from stereo imagery. Featuring a completely new design and sophisticated algorithms for generating and classifying dense elevation surfaces, LPS eATE provides an unparalleled environment for processing terrain data. This highly flexible solution provides capability for data types ranging from satellite to airborne frame and digital pushbroom sensors. It can generate grid, TIN and point cloud data over both reflective surface and bare earth depending on project needs. It can distribute processing across multiple cores in a workstation, or across multiple workstations in a network using Condor. The Condor installer's download is located under Fixes & Enhancements > LPS 2010.

                  LPS - General

                  • Added preferences to the Project Manager to "Enable semi-transparency when drawing Graphics" and "Draw graphics with anti-aliasing". Both improve the viewing experience of LPS Project Manager.
                  • Fixed the inconsistent handling of internal LSR coordinate systems for the camera sensor model in LPS Core, TE, & ORIMA for a block file which has a horizontal only datum such as "NAD27" , "DE_DHDN (BeTA, 2007) to ETRS89", "Rome40 (DLL)" , "NZGD2000 (NTv2)", "RGF93_NTF (NTv2)" ,and "NTF->RGF93 (NTv2)".
                  • Improved the performance of DEM reprojection in Ortho Resampling and display of images calibrated with DEM.
                  • Added ability to regenerate pyramids in LPS.
                  • Added preference to launch IMAGINE ribbon interface from LPS. The default is to launch IMAGINE Classic interface.

                    OrthoProcess

                    • LPS Ortho Resampling can run up to 4 processes concurrently on multiple CPU machines through the Batch tool.
                    • Improved performance of a Mixed Sensor block by avoiding unnecessary reprojection when the block file and its individual images have the same coordinate system. This performance improvement affects ortho resampling and mosaicking.

                      Sensor Models

                      • Sensor model support for WorldView-2 was enhanced to accept more band combinations in the “bandID” field.
