Enhancements

ERDAS ER Mapper 7.2.2, 32-bit (3/31/2009)
ERDAS ER Mapper 7.2.2 is an add-on enhancement for either ERDAS ER Mapper 7.2 or ERDAS ER Mapper 7.2.1. It is not necessary to install the version 7.2.1 fix first, nor is it necessary to uninstall 7.2.1 if already installed.

ERDAS ER Mapper 7.2.2 Fix Description

Compression:

Fixed compressor crashing when compressing 32-bit data to JPEG2000.

Dataset Header Editor:

Fixed Coordinate System Choosers to correctly set the Coordinate System Type. This enables setting geocoding information for RAW imagery.

ECW/JP2 Header Editor version 3.6.0.307 is now available for download.

Dynamic Links:

Fixed not being able to edit vector layers with RGF93 datum.

Fixed the Contour Wizard's "Save As..." capability.

Geocoding:

Fixed Z-value calculation in GCP editor.

Fixed incorrect cell size calculation when geo-coding images with GEODETIC coordinate systems.

Fixed reprojection from Alaskan coordinate systems.

Miscellaneous:

Fixed an interaction issue between ER Mapper and MatLab. This fix also reduced the chance for interactions between ER Mapper and other applications.

Reprojection-on-the-fly:

Added a mechanism to select default datum shift methods. Adjusted the datum shift method between ETR89 and KKJ to behave same as ER Mapper 7.1.

Statistics:

Fixed a crash in Scattergram tool's "Show Means and 95% ellipses" function.

Transforms:

Fixed Fast Fourier Transform to correctly process non-ERS input.

Translator Related:

Fixed reading NITF files with RPCs.

Upgraded ECW library to version 3.6.0.271 and Blue Marble Geographics library to version 6.3.5 to fix crashes when opening certain JPEG 2000 files.

Fixed geo-referencing of ASTER HDF files.

ERDAS ER Mapper 7.2.2 Release Notes

After upgrading ERDAS ER Mapper 7.2 with this update, it is still possible to uninstall ER Mapper 7.2, but there will be several files remaining in the %ProgramFiles%\ERDAS\ERDAS ER Mapper 7.2 directory. These unused files can cause an abnormal termination if you later reinstall and run ER Mapper 7.2 without the 7.2.2 update. You can avoid this problem by completely removing the ERDAS ER Mapper 7.2 folder after uninstalling ER Mapper.
